Michael
Black as VP
International
Marketing |
|

|
Friends and Family of Rocket
Science, I am honored and
pleased to announce the addition
of a new Senior staffer to our
team as Michael Black joins
Rocket Science Inc in the role
of VP International Marketing.
As Rocket Science
Ventures has continued to expand
outside of our N.A. -Sony RED
partnership, the need for a
Senior Staffer to maximize
international deals and
marketing has become a major
priority for me and Michael more
than fits the bill. He will base
from NYC and in this role,
Michael will be responsible for
all ex-US/ NA business for
Rocket Science and Rocket
Science Ventures and internally
will report to Rocket Science
GM. Ken Gullic.
Michael
is a diverse music executive
with 25 years of sales,
marketing and general management
experience in the US with a
unique focus on overseas. As
many may know, Michael helped to
start and was an integral part
of the Alternative Distribution
Alliance (Warner Music Group’s
independent music distributor)
and in that role managed
relationship with over 50 music
label groups (from US, UK and
continental Europe).
During his tenure with ADA as
General Manager/Executive Vice
President, Michel founded the
ADA Global operation in London,
UK. The business unit went from
$4 million in gross sales in the
first year to $20 million by the
end of 2009.
Following
that growth and success Michael
then headed up the London team
and initiated the roll-out of
ADA divisions in Toronto,
Hamburg, Stockholm and Madrid.
Further, Michael developed and
maintained partnerships with
third party
distribution/marketing companies
in Japan, Hong Kong, Australia,
France and Israel. Michael will
be an amazing asset for our
international rights deals and
will help maximize domestic
asset marketing in a worldwide
marketplace.
